A German delegation visits the Libyan Center for Solar Energy Studies and Research

A German delegation headed by the Deputy German Ambassador to Libya, “Anika Engels”, visited this Sunday afternoon the headquarters of the Libyan Center for Solar Energy Studies and Research affiliated to the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research.

It presented to the visiting delegation, through a visual presentation, an overview of the center and its activities in the field of renewable energies and the work it carries out in the field of solar energy use technologies.

The Director General of the Libyan Center for Solar Energy Studies and Research, Dr. “Youssef Al-Naas”, said in a statement to the correspondent of the Libyan News Agency; The German diplomatic mission’s visit to the center came as a result of meetings that took place during the German-Libyan Economic Forum, which was held last March at Al-Khaled Palace in Tripoli.

Al-Naas added that this visit will contribute to consolidating cooperation between scientific research institutions in Libya and their counterparts in Germany, especially with regard to the transfer of renewable energies technology, in implementation of the directives of the government of national unity, in which the Prime Minister always stresses the actual start of implementing research and practical studies for investment in the field of renewable energies. .

In his statement to (LANA), the Director General of the Center considered that Libya is an important source of solar energy in North Africa, which made it a subject of great interest to various research centers specialized in this field, including German centers.
