A joint security force arrested a prisoner who escaped from a security detention center in Khanaqin, Diyala Governorate.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the Asayish forces, in coordination with the security and intelligence services in Khanaqin, managed to arrest one of the suspects, according to Articles 443 and 444 of the Iraqi Penal Code on charges of theft and drugs, who managed to escape from a detention and security detention center in Khanaqin, North East of Baquba from an air cooler opening, according to preliminary information.
Social media circulated a video clip documenting the escape of the accused from Khanaqin prison, while the security authorities allocated a financial reward for those who provide information about the escaped prisoner.
