The General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs announced the seizure of (56) kilograms of narcotics that were hidden in places that are difficult to reach, and the arrest of (4) dealers in them in Anbar and Salah al-Din.
The Directorate stated in a statement that: “During the past hours, two qualitative operations with precise intelligence depth were carried out, after forming a working team headed by the Director of the Anbar Narcotics Affairs Directorate, which resulted in the arrest of drug dealers and the seizure of (17,500) kilograms of Captagon narcotic pills that were extracted from underground in Anbar.”
It added: “In the same context, the second working team, headed by the Director of Narcotics Affairs in Salah al-Din, was able to arrest drug dealers red-handed after they attempted to transport (38,500) kilograms of the narcotic substance Tramadol, which was hidden in a truck used to transport fruit within Salah al-Din Governorate.”
