The security forces in Maysan arrested 5 defendants and seized unlicensed weapons and equipment, following the outbreak of a tribal quarrel in Al-Kahla district, east of the governorate.
The Maysan Police Command said in a statement: “A quarrel broke out between members of a clan and developed into the use of weapons. As a result, a joint security force began imposing a security cordon and conducting a series of raids and searches on the homes of those who caused the incident and breaking up the quarrel.”
It added: “During the security practices carried out at the scene of the quarrel, (5) defendants were arrested and (8) Kalashnikov weapons were seized.”
