Al Dhafra: The 2nd Al Yasat Festival is set to take place from November 6th to 10th, 2024, along the beach of Al Sila City in the Al Dhafra Region. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, the festival aims to highlight the significance of heritage marine sports while reinforcing UAE National identity within the community.
According to Emirates News Agency, the festival will host 44 marine races and events, with a total prize pool exceeding AED 6 million. The events will include competitions such as 60 feet class sailing dhows, 22 feet sailing dhows, and a modern sailing regatta. In addition to the races, there will be traditional shops to support productive families and various entertainment activities, all designed to boost tourism in the Al Dhafra Region.
