MANAMA: The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) is accepting nominations and applications for 2023 UNESCO-King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in Education. UNESCO set 5th February, 2024 as the deadline for submitting nominations.
The prize distribution ceremony will take place in mid-2024.
The theme of the 2023 edition is ‘Digital learning for greening education’ to keep pace with the latest global trends by encouraging synergies between public digital learning and green education, and by showcasing the best practices in this field.
According to UNESCO, the 2023 Prize will recognise ‘projects that design and deploy digital technologies, appropriately and ethically, to create inclusive and engaging learning experiences centred around the critical topic of climate change.’
