The number of martyred journalists in Gaza since the beginning of the Zionist aggression on October 7 of last year has risen to 176 journalists.
Medical sources in Gaza reported on Wednesday that a photojournalist working for Al-Aqsa TV was martyred and two others were injured, bringing the number of martyred journalists to 176 since the beginning of the Zionist aggression on Gaza in October of last year.
The sources explained that the occupation forces targeted a group of journalists near Abu Sharkh in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip, while they were covering the Zionist ground invasion north of the Strip, which led to the martyrdom of the photographer Mohammed Al-Tanani and the injury of two journalists.
The Palestinian Media Forum mourned the journalist Al-Tanani in a statement on Wednesday, expressing its condemnation of the Zionist occupation’s deliberate targeting of journalists, calling for the occupation forces to be held accountable for their crimes and continuous violations of the freedom o
f journalism.
For its part, the Palestinian Journalists Protection Center condemned the occupation army’s targeting of a group of journalists in the northern Gaza Strip and the killing of one of them.
The center renewed its demand for immediate intervention to stop the occupation army from targeting journalists and preventing their work with deliberate killing. “The occupation forces continue their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, which resulted in the martyrdom of 42,010 and the injury of 97,720 others, the majority of whom are children and women, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of missing persons are still under the rubble.”
