Wednesday Newspapers Pay Attention To The Decisions Of The Council of Ministers, Especially assigning The Election Commission… And Baghdad And Tehran’s Study Of The Use Of National Currencies During Trade Exchange

Baghdad – Wednesday’s newspapers issued today paid attention to the decisions of the Council of Ministers, especially assigning the Election Commission to carry out its tasks to the fullest extent, and Baghdad and Tehran’s study of the use of national currencies during trade exchange.

The semi-official newspaper Al-Sabah, affiliated with the Iraqi Media Network, said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, during his presidency of the Council of Ministers session held yesterday, Tuesday, renewed his previous directives to all ministries to assign the Election Commission to carry out its tasks to the fullest extent.

The newspaper quoted a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office as saying that Al-Sudani touched, at the beginning of the session, on the provincial council elections that will be held on December 18, as an important constitutional entitlement, as the government has completed all requirements for the electoral process, and has taken several decisions in the Council of Ministers related to financial, administrative and technical aspects of the electoral process.

The newspaper added that Al-Sudani directed the issuance of circulars to all ministries and agencies not affiliated with a ministry to free up polling officials for two hours a day, specifically those whose names appeared, in order to put them in training courses on voting mechanisms and to cooperate in accelerating the delivery of biometric cards, indicating that there are one million and 900 thousand biometric cards that need to be issued.

The newspaper continued that Al-Sudani also directed the Ministry of Education to resolve the schools designated by the Election Commission to be electoral centers and stop the restoration work in them, and also for the Ministry of Trade and all ministries that have halls or buildings that are suitable to be warehouses for ballot boxes to prepare them, in cooperation with the Commission in this regard.

Al-Zaman newspaper (Iraqi edition) said that Baghdad and Tehran agreed to strengthen economic partnership in all fields and to study the possibility of using the two countries’ national currencies during trade exchange operations.

The newspaper quoted a statement as saying, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani received the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Abbas Aliabadi, and his accompanying delegation, and the economic relations between the two countries were reviewed, and ways to enhance them and strengthen exchange and partnership at various levels and fields.” He added, “The meeting discussed the possibility of using the national currencies of the two countries in trade exchange and bilateral financial transfers, in order to have more flexibility in dealing, for the benefit of the two countries. Al-Sudani reiterated (Iraq’s readiness to open the horizons of bilateral cooperation in the field of petrochemical and fertilizer industries, because of their strong impact. in promoting internal development),

For his part, the newspaper explained, Aliabadi conveyed to Al-Sudani the greetings of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, and his emphasis on the necessity of proceeding with fruitful economic integration projects, in the face of the economic challenges witnessed by the region and the world.

On another topic, Al-Zawraa newspaper, affiliated with the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, said that the Prime Minister’s advisor, Fadi Al-Shammari, confirmed the formation of a special team to redraw the administrative structure in all state institutions, while he confirmed the existence of more than 190 important strategic projects in Baghdad, some of which have been implemented and others are in the process of being launched.

The newspaper reported its own statement by Al-Shammari in which he said that the executive career apparatus must be a servant of the people, and according to what the Prime Minister said, the current government is a government of services, and in order for this to be achieved through policies, visions and plans, the apparatus must believe that its place and presence is in the process of communication and people’s satisfaction with it, and as a result, it will accelerate and provide as much service operations as possible.

The newspaper stressed his assertion: What we suffer from is the presence of a flabby functional apparatus governed by bureaucracy that delays achievement.

The newspaper focused on his saying: The shift to automation is part of the comprehensive administrative reform that the Prime Minister pursued by forming this team, which will eliminate many things and is even linked to the anti-corruption program.

The newspaper pointed out his confirmation: There are more than 190 projects, some of which have been launched and others are in the process of being launched in the capital, including projects to relieve traffic congestion, projects to open the new road, and the fourth ring project, which is one of the strategic projects that will be an artery for Iraq.
