The Energy Police forces arrested two defendants and seized their vehicles prepared for smuggling petroleum derivatives in Nineveh and Baghdad governorates.
A statement by the Directorate stated that the detachments of the 1st and 4th Energy Police Brigades, and in separate operations in the Nineveh and Baghdad governorates, were able to arrest two defendants and seize their two vehicles (tank vehicles) with multiple violations. The two vehicles were seized and the accused were placed in detention in preparation for completing the investigative procedures and presenting them before the competent judiciary in accordance with Law 41 of the Special Law combating the smuggling of oil and its derivatives for the year 2008./End
