The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of six Kurdistan Workers’ Party militants in northern Iraq.
The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement today, Saturday, that one of the Turkish army units stationed in the area of the Claw Lock operations in northern Iraq monitored the movements of a number of PKK militants, and after an exchange of fire, it killed six of them.
The Turkish army carried out a large military operation on April 18 of last year and is still continuing, called Claw Lock, against the strongholds of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party in the areas of Matina, Al-Zab, Afshin, and Bazian in northern Iraq.
