French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal said that acts of sabotage on the Paris’ high-speed train lines had “massive and serious” impacts.
In a statement posted on his X account on Friday, Attal said the incident is currently under investigation to bring those responsible for the coordinated sabotage to justice.
On his part, French National Railways SNCF CEO Jean-Pierre Farandou told reporters and local TV channels that the sabotage affected 800,000 travelers.
In the same context, Basel-Mulhouse Airport on the Swiss-French borders announced evacuation for security reasons.
The airport said on social media that it had suspended all flights for safety issues.
