The State Forces Alliance bloc condemned the recurrence of the burning of the Holy Qur’an by a demented and distressed person in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, under the strict protection of the Swedish police, in front of the eyes of all the world.
The head of the bloc, Faleh Al-Sari, said in a statement: “This heinous act does not fall under the label of human rights at all, because it represents a provocation to the feelings of billions of Muslims all over the globe, striking all heavenly norms, human values, and ways of peaceful coexistence.
He added that while we stress the Iraqi government’s decision to expel the Swedish Ambassador from Iraqi territory and withdraw the Iraqi Chargé d’Affairs from our Embassy in Stockholm, we call on the political forces to take supportive positions and preserve the reputation of our country, the land of prophets, saints and righteous people.
