The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate mourns a journalist who died in a traffic accident in Baghdad

The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the Iraqi Observatory for Journalistic Freedoms mourned the death of a journalist and writer specialized in political analysis, Dhuha Al-Khalidi, who died in an unfortunate traffic accident in the capital, Baghdad, yesterday, Thursday.

The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, press circles, media institutions, writers, activists, and bloggers mourned the late colleague with touching words, as she represented an advanced awareness of the issues of the homeland and an unparalleled moral commitment in the time of material and intellectual tampering.

The late colleague worked as a presenter of talk shows in a number of satellite channels, media institutions and newspapers, and she received many appreciation awards and certificates for the role she played during the years of rich giving and intellectual, cultural and moral commitment.

Writers and journalists considered Al-Khalidi’s departure a great loss for culture and creativity in Iraq, invoking prayers to Almighty God for her mercy and forgiveness, and for her family patience and solace.

The last participation of the late colleague, with the activities of the International Association was yesterday, the first Wednesday, when she witnessed the proceedings of the first conference of the Association in the holy Karbala, and she was blessed by visiting the two holy shrines of the Husseiniya and the Abbasid shrines.
