The East Baghdad-Diyala Power Line Has Been Restored To Service After It Was Bombed Yesterday

The Diyala Electricity Distribution Company announced today, Saturday, the restoration of the eastern Baghdad-Diyala power line to service after it was detonated yesterday.

A brief statement of the company stated, “Within a few hours, our cadres were able to complete the work on the Diyala-East Baghdad line No. 1 (400 K.V). Yesterday evening, it was detonated with explosive devices, which led to its fall.”

The Minister of Electricity, Ziyad Ali Fadel, confirmed, earlier today, from the scene of the bombing, that “the cadres of the ministry are the army of light, and the saboteurs are the army of darkness, and we will block the way for them with their malicious attempts to cut off electricity from hospitals, water projects, and other vital projects.”

He added, “We will be the first line of services, such as the military and security sectors, the first blocking line,” stressing, “Now we are working, and after hours, we will finish restoring the damaged line and towers, and in record time and quickly, to serve our people.”
