Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said that China will invest up to USD 36 billion in various areas in his country, including economy, industry, technology, transport and agriculture.
Nineteen agreements and memoranda of understanding on new projects with China have been signed which will be of great benefit for both countries, he said. President Tebboune, who started a state visit to China on Monday at an invitation from his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping made the comments during his meeting with the Algerian community in Beijing on Thursday.
He added his current visit to China opened new horizons for cooperation and strengthened the bilateral relations in all fields.
