The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, received yesterday at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini.
The communication office of the council stated that the meeting discussed a number of issues, especially the disaster and human and material losses that happened in the disaster areas in eastern Libya.
Takala commended Italy’s support, which came to help the affected areas in Libya, indicating that the disaster is beyond the country’s capabilities and that it needs international support for reconstruction.
The meeting also reviewed regional and international developments in issues of common interest between the two countries and the challenges they face in the file of illegal migration.
