Russia announces a large-scale attack on energy facilities in Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry announced today, Monday, that its forces carried out, with high-precision and long-range air and sea weapons, a large-scale joint attack on vital energy infrastructure facilities that ensure the operation of the military-industrial complex in Ukraine.

The Ministry said in a statement that the bank of targets targeted by the Russian army included electrical substations in the Kiev, Vinnitsa, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Nikolaev, Kirovograd and Odessa regions, noting that gas compression stations in the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kharkiv regions, which ensure the operation of the gas transportation system in Ukraine, were damaged.

It explained that the Russian forces also struck, in addition, the storage sites of aircraft weapons in the Kiev, Dnepr and Petrovsk regions, noting that the power supply was cut off and the transportation of weapons and ammunition by rail to the Ukrainian combat contact line was disrupted.
