Dozens of residents of the Ibrahimiyah district, affiliated with the Hashimiyah district, south of Hillah, demonstrated to demand the provision of water to their lands and the elimination of drought.
NINA’s correspondent said, “Dozens of residents of the Ibrahimiyah district, affiliated with the Hashimiyah district, south of Hillah, demonstrated today, Monday, and blocked the road between Hillah and the district, demanding a solution to the drought problem and saving their villages from water scarcity.
He added that the demonstrators threatened to sit-in and block the road until further notice if their demands are not met.
