Presidency: No peace or security for anyone without the establishment of a Palestinian state in accordance with international legitimacy

Ramallah – Ma’an – In response to the Israeli Knesset’s approval of a draft resolution rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state, the official spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said that there is no peace or security for anyone without the establishment of a Palestinian state in accordance with international legitimacy, and terrorism is the occupation that wages continuous aggression to kill children, women and the elderly.

Abu Rudeineh added that the Palestinian state exists with the recognition of the entire world, and that there are 149 member states in the United Nations that recognize the State of Palestine, and international recognitions continue to come in succession to confirm that the embodiment of the establishment of our independent state does not require permission or legitimacy from anyone.

He pointed out that these decisions confirm the insistence of Israel and its ruling coalition on pushing the entire region into the abyss, holding the United States of America respon
sible for its bias and unlimited support.

He added that the occupation government is not interested in peace, which will not be achieved without establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders.

He pointed out that the resolutions of the UN Security Council, the resolutions of the General Assembly, and the international consensus have brought the State of Palestine to observer status in the United Nations, and the flag of the State of Palestine has been raised alongside the countries of the world that have recognized it, calling on the countries of the world that have not recognized the State of Palestine to recognize it immediately and support its obtaining full membership in the United Nations to protect the two-state solution and protect the rights of our people, foremost of which is their right to self-determination.
