The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, received today, Wednesday, the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Maurizio Cricante, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, according to a statement by the region’s presidency, they discussed the latest security and political developments in Iraq, the region and the Middle East, the issue of the budget and problems between Erbil and Baghdad and the internal situation of the Kurdistan region.
The two sides agreed that “the problems of Erbil and Baghdad must be resolved through dialogue in accordance with the federal constitution of Iraq, and stressed the importance of unity among the political parties in the Kurdistan region.
