Molla: Development of infrastructure in Egypt sets stage for global investments

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el-Molla asserted the development of the infrastructure, activities and projects of the petroleum and gas sector sets the stage for luring global investments and promoting joint work, especially with Korean companies in this vital field.

Molla’s remarks were made during a meeting with the newly-appointed South Korean Ambassador in Cairo Kim Yong-Hyun on Monday.

The meeting provided an important opportunity for probing ways of developing relations binding Egypt and South Korea in the spheres of petroleum, natural gas and green energy.

Molla pointed out to the implementation of a number of petroleum projects including the Egyptian refinery project, which, he said is considered a successful example for co-operation between the petroleum sector and Korean companies.

In turn, the South Korean diplomat affirmed the great importance his country is paying to develop economic relations with Egypt.
