Baghdad / The President of the Union of Arab Journalists and Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, announced the holding of an emergency meeting of the General Secretariat of the Union of Arab Journalists in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to take firm decisions to support the Palestinian people and deter the occupying Zionist entity.
During the solidarity stand and the joint meeting of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and medical unions in the capital, Baghdad, today, Friday, Al-Lami sent a message to the families of the martyrs of Gaza, the families of Palestinian and Arab journalists, and all the martyrs of the Iraqi press, saying, “Your sons raised our heads high, they and the martyrs of Gaza and Palestine,” praising the efforts of all representatives. The participating unions, especially the head of the doctors’ union, the heads of dentists, pharmacists and nurses, and all colleagues working in these unions and the Iraqi Journalists’ Syndicate, praying to God Almighty to grant victory to our people in Palestine.
Al-Lami added, “Tomorrow I will go to Cairo to hold an emergency meeting of the General Secretariat of the Union of Arab Journalists, and we will take strong and resolute decisions, not the least of which is heading to international courts to hold accountable the murderers and criminals among the leaders of the usurping Zionist entity.”
Al-Lami stressed, “This meeting and solidarity stance of the medical unions and the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate is a clear message to the entire world and to our people in Palestine, the West and the Arab lands. We are with you against this brutal attack by the occupying entity, and we will not be satisfied with words and statements of condemnation. The Arab Journalists Union will hold an emergency meeting in Cairo and we take strong decisions to deter the Zionists who killed our Palestinian people, praising the sacrifices of the families of the martyrs and the Palestinian families in their confrontation with the hateful Zionist entity.
