The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a new group of defendants who targeted a number of restaurants and foreign agencies in Baghdad.
The Ministry stated in a statement that, through specific operations based on accurate information, the security services in the Ministry of Interior were able to arrest a new group of defendants in incidents of attacks and vandalism that affected a number of KFC restaurants and foreign agencies in various areas of the capital, Baghdad, during the past few days.
It explained that the competent authorities in the Ministry of Interior initiated the necessary legal procedures against those arrested to complete their investigation papers, as the investigating judge decided to arrest them in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law.
It indicated that security work is still continuing to pursue the rest of the elements who committed this illegal act for the purpose of arresting them and bringing them to justice to receive their just punishm
ent.
