Ministry of Emigration Issues Report on ‘Survival Boats’ Initiative


Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi issued a report on the achievements of implementing the presidential initiative ‘Survival Boats’ to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal immigration and combat this phenomenon in Dakahlia Governorate, which is among the 14 governorates that export the most illegal immigration. This came during a visit by Ambassador Soha Gendi, to the governorate, to find out what has been achieved in this important file.

The report monitored what was accomplished by the Chamber of the Egyptian-German Center for Jobs, Immigration and Reintegration, where 222 beneficiaries from the people of Dakahlia were trained, in cooperation with the ‘Enma Misr’ Association.

The initiative includes ‘entrepreneurship training and how to start small projects, employment skills and vocational guidance.’ The training program includes Back-end programming training, handicraft training, SALES training, as well as consulting sessions on the mechanism of obtaining
job opportunities in Germany for technical qualifications.

In addition, the initiative includes education programs for rural women leaders with a total number of (101) beneficiaries in cooperation with the National Council for Women, and the implementation of awareness programs for young people with high qualifications who are exposed to the dangers of illegal immigration, with a total number of (29) beneficiaries, in cooperation between the Center and the Governorate General Office.
