Madbouly Follows Up on Budget Proposals for 2nd Phase of “Decent “Life”


Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly chaired a meeting to follow up on the estimated budget proposals for the second phase of the presidential initiative “Decent Life,”.

Hala Elsaid explained that the budget for the next fiscal year will focus on health, education, and the presidential initiative “Decent Life.” Currently, efforts are underway to verify the required cost for the initiative in its second phase.

First Assistant to the Prime Minister, Randa El-Minshawi confirmed that there is a directive from the Prime Minister to prepare the expected cost for the second phase according to specific criteria from the project’s consultant, so that the Minister of Planning can provide the necessary funding in the investment plan starting from the next fiscal year.

The official spokesperson for the Cabinet, Counselor Mohamed Elhomosany, stated that during the meeting, it was noted that the second phase data of the presidential initiative “Decent Life” includes the implementation of projects in various sectors by the M
inistry of Housing and the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces in 1,667 villages distributed across 462 local units, in 59 cities, within 20 governorates nationwide.

The official spokesperson highlighted that the meeting addressed the ongoing procedures related to preparing the budget for implementing projects in the second phase of the presidential initiative “Decent Life.” It was emphasized that there has been significant benefit from the work carried out during the initial phase of the initiative.

Regarding the scope of engineering work, it was mentioned that concerning infrastructure networks, the scope has been defined by the authorities of each governorate for the projects. Each governorate is responsible for conducting field surveys of the targeted villages and identifying what needs to be implemented, whether it’s extending and reinforcing existing infrastructure, replacing it, or building new infrastructure. The goal is to ensure the availability of full-fledged facilities for each village li
sted in this phase upon completion of the work, as part of the state’s efforts to enhance the level of services provided to citizens across various sectors.
