Kuwait opens pavilion at Jordan cultural festival

Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature (NCCAL) Dr. Mohammad Al-Jassar inaugurated on Thursday Kuwait’s pavilion at the 38th session of Gerash cultural festival, in Jordan.

The pavilion includes some cultural items and aspects like publishing houses, books, fine arts, handicrafts, in addition to some popular traditional meals.

Some women are taking part in the pavilion with wool weaving performances that attracted visitors who came to learn about this traditional industry.

Speaking to KUNA, al-Jassar said Kuwait’s partaking in this festival aims to enhance Arab culture, mainly amid the sufferings of Palestinian people.

Kuwait’s pavilion displays cultural editions, mainly books on the Palestinian cause and Arab identity, he added.

He noted that some Kuwaiti poets and writers are taking part in this festival, which is one of the ancient festivals in the region, that is held every year.
