Kuwait Min. of Social Affairs: Gulf youth work witnesses great progress


Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah affirmed that Gulf youth work is achieving great progress in various field, due to cooperation between youth sponsoring authorities in Gulf countries.

In a press statement on Wednesday, during the celebrations of Gulf Youth Day in its third edition, Al-Huwailah said that this was achieved in implementation of the directives of GCC leaders, considering that the youth are change-makers and future leaders. She affirmed that youth work in Kuwait witnessed a remarkable progress, due to the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, as well as the follow up of His Highness the Prime Miniter Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah, to hone the youngesters’ talents.

Al-Huwaila pointed out that Kuwait, represented by the Youth and Sports Authorities, is keen to boost cooperation between Gu
lf countries in various fields, calling on Kuwaiti and Gulf youth to take advantage of the opportunities and work to achieve their aspirations and dreams.

She noted that the joint Gulf work is aimed at exchanging experiences and organizing joint events that provide Kuwaiti and Gulf youth with an opportunity to communicate, cooperate and strengthen bilateral relations, considering that collective work and regional integration are the key to developing Gulf youth work.

Kuwait will spare no effort in caring for Kuwaiti youth and empowering them in various fields by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to be innovate and creative, she added, expressing great confidence in their ability to make positive changes in society. Al-Huwaila congratulated the Gulf youth on Youth Day, as it is an important occasion to celebrate their achievements in various fields, stressing that they represent a fundamental pillar in the process of development in the Gulf countries.
