Detachments of the Anti-Crime Department of the Police Command of the Karbala Governorate managed to arrest a suspect after he committed a murder in the Hindiya district.
A police statement stated that after the Crime Control Department was informed that there was a murder in the Hindiya district of a 24-year-old man, the police chief immediately directed the formation of a work team headed by the Director of the Crime Prevention Department and a group of officers and associates to uncover the circumstances of the accident and arrest the perpetrators.
The statement added, through the collection and interruption of information, suspicions surrounded the accused, and an arbitrary ambush was set up for him and he was arrested within one hour, and during the interrogation with him and confronting him with evidence, he openly confessed to killing the victim, and this crime was committed after the victim ran over the perpetrator and escaped, and he was pursued and quarreled with him. He was stabbed several times in the chest and back with a sharp tool (knife), and the perpetrator was referred to the judiciary to receive his just punishment according to the law.
