Jordan, Kazakhstan Move to Cement Media Ties

Minister of Government Communication and official spokesperson for the Jordanian government Faisal Shboul met with Raushan Kazhibayeva, Director General of the TV and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on Sunday. The meeting, attended by Director General of the Jordan News Agency (Petra) Fayrouz Mobaideen, also saw participation from the Kazakh Ambassador to Amman, Aidarbek Tumatov, among other delegates. Underlining the need to bolster bilateral ties, especially within the media landscape, Minister Shboul underscored the prospect of formalizing cooperation through strategic memoranda between the official media institutions of both nations and fostering delegation exchanges. Kazhibayeva echoed the sentiment, highlighting the recent signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Jordan News Agency (Petra) and her establishment. This agreement aims to facilitate media content exchange between the two entities. She also articulated the global outreach of the Kazakh TV and Radio Complex, expressing hope for a reciprocal content broadcast in both nations to enrich cultural and informational exchange. The meeting agreed to designate a Petra correspondent in Kazakhstan, entrusted with the responsibility of reporting on Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian developments for dissemination in Jordan and neighboring nations.
