JOC denies the existence of security chaos and unstable situation in the Nineveh sector and the border with Syria


The Joint Operations Command denied the existence of security confusion and an unstable situation in the Nineveh sector and the borders with Syria.

The Joint Operations Command stated in a statement, “At a time when our heroic units continue their preemptive offensive operations and painful strikes against the remaining ISIS terrorist detachments and pursue their defeated and disappointed remnants with the support and backing of our noble and honorable people, some social media sites circulated news about (the existence of security confusion and an unstable situation in the Nineveh sector and its west and the borders with Syria) and this information is incorrect and very far from reality.”

The Operations Command confirmed: “There is a high-level deployment and control of our security forces from the Ministries of Defense, Interior, and Popular Mobilization Forces within all areas of responsibility. The Iraqi border strip with all neighboring countries is witnessing a major development in terms of units, fo
rtifications, barriers, towers, technical surveillance resources, cameras, and all combat, technical, and administrative requirements, with the presence of a large and trained, competent reserve of all types and specialties of our heroic security forces in all areas.” It added: “We have observed that there are pages on social media sites that are trying to spread malicious rumors that are severely punished by law,” calling for “exerting accuracy in transmitting information and knowing the positions related to the security aspect from their official sources.
