JHCO and KSrelief Deliver Housing Support to Syrian Refugees in Jordan

Amman: The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), with support from Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has delivered the fifth batch of sponsorships to Syrian refugee families in Irbid as part of a housing support project.

JHCO’s Secretary-General, Hussein Shibli, stated on Monday that the organization has assessed the project’s impact on both tenant families and landlords. “Feedback is one of the most important tools we have to ensure the desired results of this project,” Shibli said.

He emphasized that the initiative has helped alleviate the economic burden of securing housing, particularly for families with sensitive needs, which receive special attention from the JHCO and its partners.

Nayef Shammari, Director of KSrelief’s office in Jordan, confirmed that KSrelief continues to provide humanitarian support to elderly Syrian refugee families with disabilities in Jordan. The aid includes covering rent for beneficiaries who cannot work due to their disabilitie
s, thereby improving their economic and social conditions.

The three-year project aims to provide housing and sponsorships for Syrian refugee families in Jordan, particularly those with family members suffering from spinal cord diseases or muscle disorders that impair their mobility and ability to earn an income.

This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian and relief efforts, facilitated by KSrelief, to improve the living conditions of Syrian refugees.
