Israeli Forces Withdraw from Jenin After 15-Hour Operation

The Israeli occupation army withdrew from the city of Jenin and its camp on Thursday, following a 15-hour operation that caused widespread damage to infrastructure.

During the raids, Israeli forces arrested 19 Palestinians across various locations in the occupied West Bank and seized several dunams in the northern Valley.

Bashir Matahen, Director of Public Relations for the Jenin Municipality, stated that Israeli bulldozers destroyed infrastructure that had been recently rehabilitated following a previous 10-day assault on the city and camp. Among the areas targeted were the eastern neighborhood, al-Bayader roundabout, al-Madaris Street, and several key roads, leading to the destruction of water lines, sewage networks, and electrical outages.

Matahen also noted that the main water line supplying Jenin Governmental Hospital was severely damaged. Municipal crews are providing water tanks to the hospital until repairs are completed.

In parallel with the operation in Jenin, the Israeli forces arrested 19 Pale
stinians amid heavy gunfire across cities and villages in the West Bank, including Hebron, Ramallah, al-Bireh, Nablus, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, and Jenin. The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that the arrests were carried out under the pretext that the individuals were “wanted.”

In a separate development, Israeli authorities announced the seizure of 8 dunams of Palestinian land in the village of Fasayil in the northern Jordan Valley.

This marks the eighth military order to confiscate land in September alone, signaling an escalation in land expropriation under the guise of military and security purposes.
