Egyptian Minister of Higher Education Ayman Ashour announced on Sunday the start of the actual manufacturing process of Egypt’s electric car, which is fully designed as one of the smart mobility solutions.
This came during Ashour’s visit to ‘Matgr’, a smart mobility solutions company, to get firsthand information about their newest electric vehicles and examine the modern systems installed in the EVs.
The minister emphasized the importance of the project as it constitutes a quantum leap in the EV industry in Egypt, offering new job opportunities and supporting the national economy.
He also underscored his Ministry’s support for producing and developing EVs in Egypt, stressing the importance of exchanging expertise with major automotive companies in this field.
The representatives of Matgr offered a detailed explanation about the safety features of the electric cars, which are designed to ensure an enjoyable driving experience.
