Head of the Security Media Cell confirms to /NINA/ that no security breach has been recorded in the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him

Head of the Security Media Cell, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, confirmed that no security breach has been recorded in the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, so far.

Al-Khafaji said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency /NINA/: “The security and service plan is proceeding smoothly and positively without accidents, only traffic, which was less than previous years.”

He explained that there is no intention to close the roads except in the event of an increase in the density of visitors on the road to Karbala.

He stressed the existence of a distinguished intelligence effort working day and night to prevent any security breach, noting that more than 2,500 vehicles belonging to the security forces are available to serve visitors in their movement or reverse delegation.

He pointed out that more than 3 million and 500 thousand visitors have entered so far through the border crossings to participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

He stressed the exi
stence of a tremendous security and service effort by the security forces and service ministries, which developed a plan two months ago with the entry of security forces into alert C since August 18 until the end of the pilgrimage.
