TEHRAN: Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly, on the sidelines of the extraordinary Meeting of Permanent Committee on Palestine at the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Member States.
Held yesterday in the Iranian capital, Tehran, the meeting touched on ways to foster parliamentary relations between the two sides, with emphasis on the importance of bilateral relations between the UAE and Iran.
Dr. Al Nuaimi reviewed the UAE’s dedicated efforts towards regional security and peace, particularly regarding the Palestinian issue, and to deliver humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people.
The meeting was attended by Marwan Obaid Al Muhairi and Ahmed Mir Hashim Khoori, FNC’s members, and Saif Mohammed Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Iran.
