FM passes on letter from King Abdullah to Egyptian president

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, who passed on a letter from His Majesty King Abdullah II to El-Sisi on means of developing cooperation and strengthening relations and the efforts exerted to resolve regional crises and achieve peace, security and stability.

The meeting tackled mechanisms for developing the evergrowing bilateral relations, underscoring the importance of strengthening economic relations and increasing trade exchange in a manner that lives up to the level of political relations and historical ties that unite the two countries and peoples.

The Palestinian cause and efforts to activate the peace process were also discussed in the context of continuous coordination between the two countries, as well as the importance of continuing to intensify international efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution and in accordance with the approved references and resolutions of international legitimacy.
