Egyptian Naval Forces receive UN delegation, led by Ghada Wali


The Egyptian Navy had a meeting on Friday 5/7/2024 with a delegation of the United Nations, led by Ghada Wali, the executive director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

Commander of the Egyptian Navy Rear Vice Admiral Ashraf Ibrahim Atwa attended the meeting that took up the remarkable development of the naval forces and the daunting tasks assigned to them to secure the Egyptian coasts and territorial and economic waters.

This was followed by an inspection tour of a number of naval units at the Alexandria Naval Base to stand on the advanced capabilities possessed by the naval forces.

During her visit, Wali expressed her deep appreciation of the Armed Forces’ sustained efforts in preserving Egypt’s national security.

For his part, the Commander of the Egyptian Navy stressed the importance of the UNODC’s efforts in preventing crimes.
