The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, stressed today, Monday, the necessity of respecting the federal system to protect the rights of all components in Iraq.
The media of the Presidency of the Regional Government stated in a statement: “Barzani received the new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq, Christiana Homann, and her accompanying delegation, and at the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion of assuming her new job, wishing her success in performing her duties.
The main axis of the meeting discussed the importance of resolving controversial issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government. The two sides also agreed on the necessity of respecting the federal system and protecting the rights of the people of Kurdistan and all components in accordance with the constitution.
