Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), said that achieving the strategic goals of the media requires concerted efforts and active participation from all community segments to ensure that media messages produce the desired results of raising awareness and driving development.
In a statement during his participation in the 2023 edition of the Global Media Congress, Al Suwaidi affirmed that providing quality media services helps promote and support sustainable development efforts locally and globally.
Development-focused media plays a pivotal role in the age of modern technology, as it provides new and innovative solutions to tackle developmental challenges and boost economic growth and competitiveness while contributing to the spread of knowledge, he explained.
Al Suwaidi highlighted the role of development-focused media in spotlighting key events and topics in fields like clean energy, sustainability, resource and environmental conservation and infrastructu
re development, as well as many other areas that seek to better the quality of life.
