President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran on the success of the presidential elections.
He said in a blog post on the X website: We congratulate Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the President-elect, on his victory in the elections, and we wish him success in his work and in achieving the ambitions and aspirations of the Iranian people.
The President stressed his keenness to strengthen relations between Iraq and Iran, in a way that serves the interests of the two neighboring countries and peoples.
