Coinciding with the approach of the million-person visit, the Supreme Security Committee for securing the Arbaeen visit intensifies its work to ensure the success of this occasion


The Supreme Security Committee for Securing the Arbaeen Pilgrimage announced today, Wednesday, the intensification of its work to make this occasion a success, coinciding with the approach of the million-person pilgrimage.

A statement by the Ministry of Interior said: “The Supreme Security Committee for Securing the Arbaeen Pilgrimage continues its intensive work, especially with the approach of this immortal pilgrimage and reaching its peak with the continuation of the Husseini march from inside and outside Iraq.”

The committee’s rapporteur, Major General Aziz Hashem, explained, according to the statement, that the plan is proceeding according to what was agreed upon, and there is a follow-up of the procedures in Baghdad and the governorates.

He pointed out that there are a set of recommendations that the Supreme Committee for Securing the Arbaeen Pilgrimage is working on to provide a safe and appropriate atmosphere for all visitors heading to the holy Karbala from various axes.”
