Al-Wahat, A number of civil society organizations (Gallo – Ojla – Ahkhara) called on the Minister of Oil, the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, and the directors of companies operating in the production of crude and gas for compensation for health and environmental damage and the risks resulting from the emissions of odors and oil residues, and their spread in a remarkable manner on a daily basis, and the symptoms and diseases it causes to humans, plants and livestock.
In the statement, a copy of which was obtained by the Libyan News Agency, the organizations appealed to the ministry and the institution to quickly stop the harm and not continue operations and the necessity of providing urgent compensation, pointing to their right to reserve the right to respond and defend themselves before local and international courts and to take steps on the ground.
