Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command announced on Monday morning the implementation of security operations for search, inspection and armed reconnaissance in areas surrounding the capital.
The command stated in a statement: ‘The units of the Infantry Divisions (Sixth and Seventeenth) and the units attached to them, with the support of agencies and intelligence services, began at dawn today, Monday, to carry out security operations for regional search and inspection, armed reconnaissance, and the installation of sudden temporary checkpoints, which included the areas of (Umm Najm, Al-Salman, and Al-Sukharab), Al-Kashaki, Al-Balasim, Al-Gharibawiyin, Al-Fadagha, Al-Ra’at, Al-Saadan, Al-Amin, Al-Kazzaza, Al-Salem, Al-Zayed, Al-Barism, Delim, Al-Masara, Al-Kartan, Al-Kawam, Al-Da’araa, Shakha/1) north and south of the capital, Baghdad, to enhance security and stability and impose the rule of law to maintain the security achievement achieved and preventing anyone who dares to tamper with the security and safety of citizens.’
