At least 20 people were killed and over 50 others wounded in a blast targeting the religious political party Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) convention on Sunday in Pakistan’s northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Senior administrative official Saad Khan confirmed to media that as per initial reports at least 20 people were killed and over 50 others received injuries in the blast.
JUI-F local leader Maulana Ziaullah Jan was among the killed, Khan confirmed.
Security and rescue teams immediately reached the site as death toll is feared to rise.
