Al-Waha Oil Company raises daily production rates of crude oil to 322,000 barrels.


The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced today that Al-Waha Oil Company was able to raise daily production rates of crude oil to 322,000 barrels.

Al-Waha Company is the second largest oil and gas producer in the country, and it transports oil to a number of other companies through its production pipelines extending from the Sirte Basin to the port of Sidra, including Wintershall, Total, and the Zueitina Oil Company.

The company’s exploratory activity began in the beginning of 1956, when it was able to drill the first well producing oil in commercial quantities during the past few years, and it made an important oil discovery in the area north of the Jallo field in the southern part of the Sirte Basin.
