Tripoli: Yesterday, Saturday, at the Council’s headquarters, the President of the Presidential Council, Muhammad Al-Manfi, received the Special Envoy of the Palestinian President, the First Deputy Prime Minister, ‘Dr. Nabil Abu Dinah,’ in the presence of the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Palestine to Libya, ‘Muhammad “Rahhal.”
The Special Envoy conveyed to the President of the Presidential Council the greetings of the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, expressing his appreciation for the Libyan position towards the Palestinian issue, especially in all international meetings, according to the Presidential Council.
In turn, Al-Manfi stressed support for the Palestinian cause and the rights of Palestinians to self-determination, and called for an immediate ceasefire and allowing humanitarian aid to Gaza.
According to the Council, the Special Envoy presented an artistic painting of Al-Aqsa Mosque in recognition of the role played by the State of Libya and the President of the Council in s
upporting the Palestinian cause.
