Al-Lami: The celebration of the Iraqi National Press Day this year will be the largest and most extensive in the history of the Syndicate

The Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Head of the Union of Arab Journalists, Moayad Al-Lami, confirmed that the celebration of the Iraqi National Press Day this year will be the largest and most extensive in the history of the Syndicate since its founding in 1959 until now.

Al-Lami told the Iraqi National News Agency (NINA) that more than 150 journalists and media figures representing major press institutions have been invited, in addition to a number of Arab Ministers of Culture and Information, to attend the celebration and get a close look at the urban renaissance taking place in Baghdad and convey the bright image of Iraq to their countries.

Al-Lami added that the Supreme Committee for the celebration of this occasion continues its meetings to put the final touches to the platform for the celebration, which will include on its first day a reception of well-wishers at the Syndicate’s headquarters, then a reception of media delegations on the second day at Baghdad International Airport, and then the central celebration that will be held in Al-Zawraa Hall at Al-Rashid Hotel on Saturday, the seventeenth, of the current month, the governorate festival in Al-Zawraa Park, and the mass celebration in the cultural and social center, One Thousand and One Nights, on the evening of the eighteenth Sunday of the month, in addition to hosting the meetings of the permanent office and the general secretariat of the Union of Arab Journalists.
