A police force carried out a security operation to search and clear the banks of the Diyala River.
Colonel Haitham Al-Shammari, the official Spokesman for the Diyala Police Command, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “A force from the Diyala Police carried out a security operation to search and clear the banks of the Diyala River, south of Baqubah, and various quantities of hidden ammunition were seized.”
He added: “The force destroyed the hideouts used by terrorists using machinery and bulldozers.”
