A force from the Basra Operations Command arrested two suspects for shooting at a citizen and seriously wounding him, as a result of a clan dispute, north of Basra.
A statement by the leadership stated, “A joint security team was formed under the supervision of the Operations Commander, and after continuous research, investigation and verification, the perpetrators’ location was known in Al-Zwain area of Al-Deir district, north of the governorate, after they seriously injured the citizen as a result of a clan dispute between the two parties. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The statement added, “The place was cordoned off and stormed, according to duly judicial approvals, and they were arrested and handed over to Al-Zwain Police Station.”
