11/ people were killed and 14 others were missing in floods that hit the city of Huludao in Liaoning Province, northeastern China.

Local sources reported on Friday that heavy rains fell on Huludao, causing massive floods and severe damage, especially in Jianzhang and Suizhong counties, where roads, bridges, power lines, communications networks and homes were damaged. They noted that initial statistics confirmed that 188,757 people were affected, and the losses were estimated at about $1.44 billion.

On Tuesday, the Chinese authorities announced the death of 50 people and the loss of 15 others due to heavy rains that accompanied Typhoon “Jamie”, which hit the city of Zixing in Hunan Province in central China.
